Fallout new Vegas question?

Ok I basically just started playing and I accidentally put on powder gangers clothes on and ringo saw me and keeps killing me. Just wondering if there's any way to yeild or reason with him because it's a pain in the *** and I Cba starting the game again and changing clothes has no effect of him chasing and killing me
