I need help with fallout new vegas for xbox 360?!?

I am at primm, everytime I go there, they start to shoot me, I have talked to the leutinant in the tent, and I have talked to one other person, whose name I forgot, he is in Primm, Now I have to find the lawman and resque deputy beagle I guess, I am done helping ringo. Can someone please help me out? the game is great except it is quiet confusing, Also if you have any other help i would appreciate that, thank you.
