Parakeets and human food?

putting them on a skewer and hanging them in the cage sometimes works because it makes it into a toy. most pet stores sell toys that allow you to put fruit/veggies on. or you can try what i did and put them in a separate food dish to see what happens. my parrotlet wont eat his "fresh foods" if they are on the bottom of his cage or in his regular dish.
