How to dip dye my hair and where to get dip dye?

I have dark brown hair and am looking for a bright colour to dip dye my hair with. I would prefer to buy a semi-permanent/permanent dye from Boots/Superdrug etc.. I live in London so any shops where I could buy a recommended dip dye would be great!
