Will the storm head my way?

I live in St.Catharines, ON. A small city in southwestern ontario. Right now, further south in windsor and london ON, there are severe thunderstorm warnings and watches. The storm is said to be strong but the avarage summer severe thunderstorm and heading my way at 40 km per hour. Will it dissipitate. There are thunderstorms in my forecast, but will they dissipitate before they come to my area. Please help i am afraid of thunderstorms
